„DIYALOG“: Art from Vienna

„DIYALOG“: Art from Vienna will showcase works by leading contemporary artists living in Vienna sponsored by OMV Group, the newly special project sponsor of Contemporary Istanbul. The selection is made by a pool of ten curators comprised of art experts from a variety of fields. Each of them has nominated one prominent artist from the older generation and one young artist with great potential. The exhibition prompts a dialog between the art and the viewer and opens up new perspectives on contemporary art in Austria’s capital. With the project OMV would like to contribute to cultural exchange in its core markets Austria and Turkey.

Guardians of Time by Manfred Kielnhofer
The „guardians of time“ are five mystical sculptures who are travelling the worlds’ museums and exhibitions. Exclusively for FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS they made their journey to the German capital. Each night they show up on a different spot in Berlin. This unique light project is created by Manfred Kielnhofer.
Die Wächter der Zeit, mystische Skulpturen, die seit vielen Jahren durch Museen und Ausstellungen auf der Welt unterwegs sind, besuchen im Rahmen des diesjährigen Festival of Lights die Metropole Berlin. 5 leuchtende Skulpturen des Lichtkünstlers Manfred Kielnhofer begeben sich auf eine 12-Nächte-Tournee durch die Hauptstadt. Jeden Abend werden “5 Wächter der Zeit” an einem anderen prominenten Ort in Berlin Station machen. Diese werden vom Künstler selbst und einigen Fotografen begleitet, die diese “Welttournee” dokumentieren. Die Tourdaten finden Sie hier.
